Taylor Boys’ Produce is aware of the ongoing multistate investigation involving illnesses caused by Cyclospora cayetanensis.

Taylor Boys’ Produce has not purchased or received any lettuce originating from Mexico and is not involved in the outbreak or the products currently under investigation.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration have linked one outbreak to shredded iceberg lettuce served at certain Taco Bell locations in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia. FDA traceback information indicates that the lettuce associated with that investigation originated from Mexico.

Based on a review of our purchasing and receiving records:

Federal and state health officials are also investigating other Cyclospora illnesses that may be unrelated to the outbreak associated with the Taco Bell locations. Some of these investigations have not yet identified a specific food product or source.
